Someone asked me to do a love life analysis using Zi Wei Dou Shu (ZWDS). So, we're going to see how ZWDS tells the story of our life and fate.
First, we examine her natal chart, starting with her Life Palace. It contains the Duke star, the Left Deputy, the Crown and the Fiery star, plus a few minor ones. This tells us a lot about her personality. She knows what she wants, goes after it, and doesn't like following orders. She’s independent and unlikely to submit in marriage.
She comes from a privileged background, born into wealth, and often has strong support from others, especially women. Money flows easily to her, but she spends freely with little thought for saving or investing. Her parents spoiled her, and her finances tend to see ups and downs. She's outspoken and prone to emotional outbursts, which can make it hard to maintain a stable and harmonious marriage.
Now, let’s examine the Transformations from her Life Palace. We see:
- Hua Lu in Parents Palace
- Hua Quan in Friends Palace
- Hua Ke in Children Palace
- Hua Ji in Property Palace
That last one, Hua Ji in the Property Palace, points to a tendency toward conflict at home, before and after marriage. Marriage can bring her ongoing struggles and instability.
Next, we look at her Love Transformation. Her Life Palace influences the Prince star in her Friends Palace, causing it to receive Hua Quan. The Friends Palace is also the Health Palace of her Marriage. This tells us she is drawn to a man’s looks, background and capabilities over his character.
Because it’s a Prince Hua Quan, she seeks certain benefits from relationships and likes being in control. However, she tends to be drawn to strong-willed partners who resist her attempts at control, which can lead to power struggles.
Another major sign: Her birth year sits in the Career Palace, forming a Hua Ji in her Health Palace. This points to a strong pull toward marriage, with a partner who tends to be drawn to her for surface reasons: looks, social status and financial benefits. The marriage can take on a transactional nature.
There are also challenges to be mindful of. Her natal Marriage Palace forms a Hua Ji in the Parents Palace, clashing with her Health Palace. This suggests that after marriage, her health may decline. Additionally, the Courtier star's Hua Ji in the Property Palace clashes with her Children Palace, which governs relationships before marriage. She tends to have several relationships before settling down.
The chart points to a husband who is strong-willed, with a rebellious or controversial nature: a classic bad boy type. Her parents may not approve, and the marriage can weigh on her prospects. Her Marriage Palace influences the Moon star, receiving a Hua Ji that clashes with her Health, reinforcing the theme of health struggles after marriage.
Marriage Timing
She entered her first 10-year phase at age 6 (schooling years, no marriage expected). The real window for marriage is between 16 and 25. During this phase, her natal Marriage Palace sends a Hua Ji to her Parents Palace, which is also her 10-year Life Palace at that time. This creates a strong pull toward a committed bond. Additionally, the 10-year Children Palace (governing pre-marriage lovers) forms multiple Transformations with the Natal Marriage, Children, and Friends Palaces. The 10-year Children Palace sits on top of her Natal Marriage Palace, making this the phase in which marriage is most likely.
Looking at a specific year, 2018 was the trigger. That year, the Year Children Palace overlapped the 10-year Children Palace and the Natal Marriage Palace. This activated multiple Transformations, and the year pointed strongly to marriage. Things likely moved fast, toward a quick wedding.
Love and Karma
Her love life is filled with karmic lessons. Her natal chart shows that she has a pattern of attracting relationships that teach difficult but necessary lessons. If she doesn’t change her approach to love, the same heartbreak tends to repeat.
Her next 10-year phase (ages 26 to 35) carries a real risk of separation. Her 10-year Career Palace triggers a Scholar star Hua Ji in her Natal Health Palace, clashing with her Parents Palace, which points to strain in the marriage as one of her karmic lessons.
Her 10-year Marriage Palace sends a Courtier star Hua Ji to her Natal Property Palace, clashing with the Natal Children Palace. This can point to a painful separation, possibly with disputes over custody.
Breaking the Cycle
She tends to face repeated struggles in love, mostly because she chooses partners for external factors over emotional compatibility. Without a change, the same mistakes tend to recur. Her real purpose in life (shown by her Birth Year Palace) is her career. She should focus on her path and stop letting unhealthy relationships distract her.
Love and marriage tend not to bring her happiness until she breaks these patterns. Only self-reflection and a shift in priorities can change her fate.
